Jacques Greene Re-Flavors Mild Minds Single “DESTINATIONS” – [Listen]

Jacques Greene, Canadian DJ and producer extraordinaire, remixed the EDM track “DESTINATIONS,” originally debuted by Australian artist Mild Minds. Jacques reimagined “DESTINATIONS” for a club environment, quickening the beat and adding toe-tapping percussion, while keeping the integrity and intention of the initial track. This collaborative drop/remix/EP marked Mild Minds’ first release since “MOOD,” which garnered a Grammy nomination. Later in the year, Mild Minds’ will release yet another compilation, the remixes of “MOOD.” This drop will feature artists such as DJ Boring, Hidden Spheres, Laurence Guy, among others.

When asked for commentary, Mild Minds had unique insight regarding the re-imaginations of tracks: “Remixes have always been an important part of the musical picture for me. My career in music started with remixing other artists so I’m always intrigued to see how an artist reinterprets a track. Often the new life it can give a track, can turn out even better than the original. We were able to lock down remixes by many of the artists I was inspired by while making the original record, which makes it feel like everything has come full circle and really helps to complete the picture that I had for this record.”
