REZZ, ALISON WONDERLAND, NERVO & MORE APPEAR IN ‘UNDERPLAYED’ DOCUMENTARY

There’s no doubt that some type of asymmetry exists in acknowledging and honoring the successful careers between men and women. Gender inequality have persisted since the beginning of time and as it carries on socially and professionally, it’s important to take note on the achievements of successful women as the disparity continues to work as a disadvantage to women, limiting them to favorable circumstances, resources as well as recognition. In order to raise awareness for the injustice that lies in sexism, and bring underrated success of women across the world to light especially in the electronic music industry, Stacey Lee have crafted an eminent documentary that was filmed in 2019 summer festival season featuring female artists and producers such as REZZ, Alison Wonderland, Nervo, TOKiMONSTA, and many more.

Not only will this documentary unveil the hard work behind the success of these women, but it will blast unheard voices, effort, as well as achievements of these women on high volume despite the fact that their roles in society have been “underplayed” and triumph silenced. Underplayed will debut its screening on September 19th, 2020 to TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival.) Stay tuned for the upcoming release of this documentary, and get ready to be astonished by the production and content this film will convey, and hop on as we collectively make an effort to put a stop to the imbalance of equality that continues to corrupt our society.
