QUIX AND JUELZ FINALLY DROP “CHICANE” COLLAB – [LISTEN]

Fans have been obsessed with this track since it was first heard in QUIX’s 2019 EDC set. In the meantime, the hype has hardly subsided. QUIX and Juelz have finally satisfied our craving by releasing their “Chicane” collab on Seedeater Records.

A car engine ignition, aggressive bass, and menacing sounds come together to create this filthy, monster of a track. The ominous, eerie opener of “Chicane” is finally topped off by an upbeat, trap influenced drop. The cycle repeats, with the second drop boasting an even bigger punch.

Juelz’s hip-hop roots paired with QUIX’s trap soundscape foster this massive, crowd-commanding track. Since releasing his breakout Illusions EP on Dim Mak Records in 2018, QUIX has been barreling through the scene. The New Zealand native has had his tracks featured on two of Spotify’s biggest international playlists. Not to mention, two of his recent shows in his home country completely sold out. The artist even hosts his own weekly radio show, “The Quix Fix” on iHeartRadio Evolution.

On the other hand, Vancouver-based Juelz is experiencing his own spell of industry success. Thanks to his talented skill set in both hip-hop and electronic genres, he has created some pretty iconic tracks and remixes. After seeing his sophomore EP High Octane released on Sable Valley, he has kept busy with performances on notable live streams. Having earned support from RL Grime, Zeds Dead, and A-Trak, Juelz has bright days ahead of him.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
