“DJ NOT PORTER ROBINSON” BLESSES FANS WITH “GET YOUR WISH” REMIX

Earlier this week, Porter Robinson stunned everyone with the second official remix of “Get Your Wish” from his upcoming Nurture album. The track is an upbeat, nostalgia-inducing masterpiece.

Released under the ironic moniker “DJ NOT PORTER ROBINSON,” the remix calls back to the older sounds and tones from the early and mid 2010s, which burst Porter Robinson to the forefront of EDM stardom. The track serves as a treat for fans of his Spitfire EP and Worlds material, as well as a re-imagining of his newer work. 

As opposed to the original version of the song, this remix substitutes gentle piano keys with lush vocal chops. The song then climaxes into a barrage of vibrant synths and head-bobbing drum hits. These sounds remind us of simpler times and give us hope for the future.

The North Carolinian artist has had an eventful 2020; kicking off the year with the release of two singles, curating his own livestream and preparing for the release of his first album in over five years.

If his upcoming project is anything like his past work, we can expect top-notch production and genre-defying sounds.
