BOB MOSES ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM WITH ZHU & RELEASES FIRST PIECE – [LISTEN]

Two industry dynamites, Bob Moses and ZHU have come together to create a fresh, hypnotic beat titled “Desire”. This collaboration also happens to be the title track of a brand new album from Bob Moses. Announced by the duo today, Desire will find its home on Domino this August.

Featuring six carefully crafted tracks, the ZHU collab gives us just a taste of the remainder of the collection. “Desire” is delicate in its words and melodies, but isn’t shy of its seduction. We’re sure to thank Grammy-nominated producer ZHU for the song’s undeniable element of mystery. On the other hand, Bob Moses provides the majority of the vocals and a mesmeric melody pattern that’s easily identifiable in any one of their masterpieces.

Although the album is not set for release until the fall, this electrifying anthem will satisfy us until then. The Canadian duo, comprised of Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance will be releasing Desire on Domino. It serves as a follow up to their 2018 sophomore album Battle Lines.

It only gets better—”Desire” also comes with a music video. Watch the full video here.

Probably not a coincidence, Insomniac’s Secret Project Live Stream will host a special back to back performance with Bob Moses and ZHU’s techno alias, Blacklizt. The virtual festival will take place this Friday, July 17th, beginning at 4 PM PST. It would be hard to imagine this set without their brand new track being played out, and possibly more teased.

ZHU has also teased an album to be released before the end of the year. Together, Bob Moses and ZHU might be able to save 2020. For now, indulge in “Desire” below:

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
