SHIMZA GEARS UP FOR HISTORIC LIVESTREAM EVENT ON NELSON MANDELA DAY

South African producer Shimza has caught the attention of fans and music industry professionals alike with his infectious signature sound. Last year was an incredible year for the Afro-tech producer with the release of his stunning Eminence EP followed by his Kings & Queens EP. Stirring waves amongst the community, Shimza has established himself as a dominating force with his distinct release catalog and humanitarian efforts.

This week Shimza marks a historic moment in his career as he prepares to be the first artist to live stream from Robben Island, off the coast of Cape Town in South Africa. The event will take place on Nelson Mandela Day on July 18th in an effort to raise awareness for Robben Island and rights activist Nelson Mandela’s life. Robben Island was used as a fortified prison until the mid-nighties and where Mandela spent 18 years behind bars. Currently, the island stands as a massive global political symbol as a South African National and UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In an effort to raise awareness for both Robben Island and Nelson Mandela, Shimza’s livestream will raise money for The Kolisi Foundation, The Nelson Mandela Foundation, The Shimuzic Foundation, and for Robben Island itself. The young artist devotes a lot of time to humanitarian initiatives and bringing the worlds of music and culture together.

Don’t miss out on this incredible livestream event that promotes South Africa’s heritage and highlights music as a driving force for peace and justice. You can access the event and donate here: https://bit.ly/3gLrFjR
