Corona Quarantine Cabin Fever Inspires Illegal Rave Gatherings – [WATCH]
With no end to Corona in sight, people have taken to the streets, and by streets I mean vacant deserts and secret raves. Shortly after the Fourth of July, local Las Vegas news stations expressed outrage at the pop-up gathering of what looked like a thousand ravers just outside Las Vegas’ city limits. Health officials condemned the gathering, noting that most participants arrived mask-less and failed to maintain social distancing standards.

Here’s some cell phone video I took when my photographer and I investigated a tip about a secret desert rave happening on the Fourth of July. We arrived to see hundreds dancing as we kept a safe distance. More tonight 10,11 pic.twitter.com/DUchBxHmjm

Shockingly, Las Vegas is not the biggest offender when it comes to black-market, underground raves. Illegal gatherings have been popping up all over the world, most notably in Europe. England in particular has been fighting this issue for months, their law enforcement tirelessly attempting to investigate, track, and preclude.
And yet the police did nothing to stop/disperse the illegal raves in Manchester?https://t.co/p2rWyE0tDB

Few artists have spoken out about the influx of banned raves, however, Carl Cox recently delivered an acute message to his followers, imploring them to disband these large gatherings until corona’s passing.
"These illegal parties are basically done out of frustration. Just done out of showing it's our right to do what we want to do. It's not the answer to this"@Carl_Cox condemns illegal raves in the UK 👏👏https://t.co/2QG7vwiDEC

Although it may be tempting, Cox is right. Illegalities during the time of corona – an era of trial, where we must all band together to defeat the common enemy of disease and looming morbidity – are not the move. So before you cave and attend such an illegal event, ask yourself WWCCD (What Would Carl Cox Do?), and then do unto others as you would want others to do unto you.
