DREZO TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 AFTER DRIVE-IN SHOW

After a two-night gig in Arizona, Drezo tweeted, “positive for corona. felt like I was gonna die yesterday. take this shit seriously and wear a mask.” The tweet no longer exists due to the backlash and offensive replies he received from users.

It is unclear if Drezo caught COVID-19 during the show or on his way home — Arizona is currently one of the states with the most cases so it is hard to trace how the DJ caught the virus. Relentless Beats (the promoters) and other concert-goers followed the safety measures that enforced wearing masks, social-distance headbanging and minimizing contact with others. Regardless of where or when Drezo caught the virus, it is important to get tested before and after any major gathering (or drive-in rave).

The other DJs in attendance included: Seven Lions, Wooli and LICK (so far, none of them have stated that they caught COVID-19). While drive-in raves are a good way of helping ravers cope with the lack of shows and artists receive incomes, there is still a lot of work to be done before everyone’s safety is ensured.

In the meantime, Relentless Beats have postponed their “AREZZONA” show indefinitely, and offered refunds to those who request them by July 14th.
