The atmospheric tune, its dusky sonic ambiance, and infectious four-on-the-floor rhythm tell a heartwarming story without any words, instead relying solely on the dynamically versatile musicians’ sheer skills in the studio. A progressive house gem, one would be hard-pressed to find a track that of the same genre in 2020 that sounds as great as this does. In short, most don’t hold up in modern-day, however, BT and Matt Fax found a way to truly take the listener back in time with ‘1AM in Paris‘, harkening back to the glory days of EDM’s peak in the mid-nineties. With his abilities on full display, BT switches it up with a resonantly profound vocal on his second single ‘The War’. Iraina Mancini provides her mellifluous singing talent, creating a stark juxtaposition between her flowing voice and the discordant, cacophonous sounds courtesy of BT. Drum and bass, dubstep, and a slew of other genres can be heard throughout, without ever sticking to any one in particular, which is, in effect, where the true appeal of the track lies.
