CONRANK AND KJ SAWKA COLLAB ON RELENTLESS NEW DUBSTEP RELEASE “SOUND BURIAL” – [LISTEN]
U.K.-based dubstep legend Conrank makes his glorious return to the release radar with ‘Sound Burial’. This time around, he’s joined by KJ Sawka, a U.S.-based DJ/producer known for playing the drums in Pendulum. His abilities are on full display here, serving as a prime addition to the tune’s raw intensity courtesy of Conrank’s typical dubstep flair. Out now on Circus Records, ‘Sound Burial’ is available to listen to across all streaming platforms.
The track starts out with a repetitive vocal chop being played over and over again on loop, eventually giving way for the expected hefty bass and unyielding fast pace. The usual dubstep drop is met with Sawka’s skilled drumming, elevating the overall energy of the song all while providing a fresh, unique take on the genre. The unique sonic blend of instrumentation alongside Conrank’s hardcore signature production elements is a very-welcomed mix, and hopefully goes to show other artists moving forward that it’s more than okay to experiment with and switch up the typical sounds they might be used to producing with.
