EXRON PICKS: WHAT LIVESTREAMS TO WATCH THIS WEEKEND

Another weekend filled with lively music, a normal weekend in the electronic dance music community. Despite the world slowly opening back up, shows are festivals continue to be postponed and canceled. Months have passed since we have been put on lockdown, to self-isolate and practice social-distancing. Every weekend, your favorite DJs, producers, and music labels have collaborated to put together livestreams so that your quarantine won’t feel so detached and bland. Well, good news! The livestreams are giving you plenty of energy for this weekend! Check out our selections for the weekend.

 

PrideFest Livestream

On Saturday, June 27th, Levitate Events will be presenting their second annual PrideFest in celebrstion of LGBTQ+ depiction in music. This digital event will be streamed on Twitch, showcasing a variety of artists in two different stages. Not only will this livestream provide for entertainment and honor the LGBTQ+ community, 20% of all donations will go directly back to the performers, and the rest will be split equally between OutRight International’s COVID-19 Global LGBTIQ Emergency Fund, which provides emergency financial resources to organizations around the world who are assisting LGBTQ+ people, and Black Lives Matter, the leading organization of the Black Lives Matter movement.

One Beat Livestream

SAYMYNAME presents: One Beat Livestream, a digital event honoring and promoting unity and change. SAYMYNAME has teamed up with Insomniac Events to put forth this event on Friday, June 26th, at 8 pm PT showcasing artists including YehMe2, BLVK JVCK, Lit Lords, Gladez, and Sweettooth, benefiting Los Angeles Urban League.

The Governor’s Ball Music Festival

Founder’s Entertainment Presents: The Governor’s Ball Music Festival. We all miss live music, with the festival being canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Gov Ball Team have handpicked sets from over the years to showcase over a 2-day period, Thursday and Friday, June 25th- June 26th. This stream supports the Equal Justice Initiative, Food Bank for New York City, as well as Crew Nation. Make sure to catch these sets and donate for these wonderful causes!

Mad Decent Livestreams

Artists of the Mad Decent Record Label have been faithfully keeping us company throughout this pandemic. This weekend, they are back to bring on the heat! We have Corona Sabbath with Diplo and Secular Sabbath with Rhye on Friday, June 26th at 11pm EDT, Coronight Fever (Diplo b2b Dillon Francis) on Saturday, June 27th at 11pm EDT, and on Sunday, June 27th, we have Quarantine Clash with Walshy Fire starting at 3pm EDT and A Very Lazer Sunday featuring Major Lazer, Diplo, anmd more starting at 6pm EDT.
