MINECRAFT FESTIVAL ELECTRIC BLOCKALOO CHANGES NAME AND DATES

Electric Blockaloo is the one of the largest anticipated virtual festivals yet. However, the event is pushing back its dates to July 9 -13th due to a new update that won’t be compatible with the festival’s current arrangements for the game servers. Organizers of the festival have made a statement explaining in detail the good and the bad from this news below.

“The good news – The long-awaited Minecraft Nether Update is finally here, meaning new blocks, animals, and more!! The update is rolling out to everyone on June 23rd.”

“The bad news – This means that smack in the middle of Group Camping and Early Arrival, our servers aren’t going to work for anyone who updates. There are so many unknowns with an update of this scale, especially for Bedrock/PE Fam. So we are pushing the festival back two weeks, the new start date for the festival will be July 9th. Your experience is our #1 priority, and while we are sad to delay, we are confident it’s the right decision.”

Additionally, the festival has made the decision to distance itself from its original name Electric Blockaloo to Rave Family Block Fest due to the interference of a hate group tarnishing its title. See the full explanation below.

Even with these roadblocks, this event is geared up to host over 850 performers on 65 different stages. The event organizers will now have the time to fine tune the finishing touches to ensure players the best virtual experience they can offer. Click here to see the full lineup.
