JANTSEN’S ‘GUTTER JUICE’ EP WILL MAKE YOUR SKIN CRAWL – [LISTEN]
Jantsen is best known for his slimy, funky, and hard-hitting dubstep that truly can’t be recreated. His brand new Gutter Juice EP out on Circus Records is just what bass fans needed to get their fix. Featuring collabs with Chime and Balkan Bump, this 4-track collection is like nothing you’ve ever heard before.
The Denver based DJ and producer has a reputation based on his dynamic sound. His influence stems from blues, funk, hip hop, rock, and even jazz. With such a unique and compelling discography to his name, it comes as no shock that Gutter Juice is an absolute masterpiece.
The first solo from the EP, “Jiggle” leads in with daunting vocals that unfold into a seismic drop. It’s filthy and bass-heavy, making for an absolute banger in a live set. “Step in Time” features Balkan Bump on the trumpet, creating a funky, main stage vibe. That is of course, until it drops into absolute mayhem.
Jantsen previously released his collab with Chime “Blazin'” as well as “Got Dat” with Tvboo. “Got Dat” is arguably the most energetic, versatile track in the ensemble. With such an adaptable style, Jantsen isn’t a stranger to collaborating. Through the years, he’s worked with Bassnectar, Dirt Monkey and Luzcid, among others.
