SKREAM & TOM DEMAC DROP HEAVY HIT ‘EMF’, JAMIE JONES REWORKS – [LISTEN]

British dance music legend Skream and house DJ/producer Tom Demac join forces on ‘EMF’, the latest track to come from Jamie JonesHot Creations imprint. The first collaboration between the duo is an exciting electro romp full of energy and edge. The EP also includes a fun reinterpretation by none other than label head Jamie Jones himself. Make sure to check out the behind-the-scenes making of the track at the U.K.-based Devon Analogue Studio below!

With an infectious four-on-the-floor rhythm, the nearly seven minute endeavor begins with a subdued breakbeat, slowly transitioning into heady territory. Warbly, elongated soundscapes and stabbing synths begin to quickly populate the sonic space, providing just enough tension to be released with each hard-hitting bass drop. Harkening back to the vibrant era of ‘80s breakbeat dancing and boomboxes, ‘EMF’ is a tune that understands its influences but also builds upon the genre of modern-day electronic music in all the right ways.

The final track on the EP sees Jamie Jones reworking the single with an exhilarating house music take that has an upbeat flair and funky flow. A driving remix through-and-through, the in-your-face vibe is unyielding, taking the listener on a relentless rollercoaster of sound they’ll want to keep riding over and over again.
