DYSPHEMIC OFFERS REFRESHING TAKE ON DUBSTEP WITH “APOLLO” LP – [LISTEN]

Australian native producer Dysphemic returns to our release radar with his captivating Apollo LP. Serving as a magnificent follow up to his ‘Mind Bandit’ EP from 2019, Apollo offers a revitalizing dubstep soundscape featuring psychedelic sensibilities. The seven-track release also features musical elements from his talented brother Yiani Treweeke. Dysphemic’s hefty bass drops pair in perfect unison with his siblings’ fast-paced guitar plucking. The album provides a cinematic soundtrack and serves homage to the brothers’ upbringing in New South Wales.

Each track on Apollo adds a unique element to the project while forming a cohesive unit. “Arch Angel” and “Lost Brothers” both start out with slow, melodic instrumentation before blowing up into huge dub-laden behemoths. The final track on the album, “Journey” lends driving bass lines and energy and would be a great addition to any setlist. Take a listen to the full album below.

With an impressive rolodex already under his belt, Apollo further solidifies Dysphemic’s production prowess. Each of the tracks features a tantalizing soundscape and offers a refreshing take on the bass and dubstep genres. Leaving much to be desired with his latest release, Dysphemic’s future is brightly optimistic within the electronic music sphere.
