Martin Garrix Shares New Collaboration With John Martin “Higher Ground” – [LISTEN]

Our wait is over. On May 14 we were all blessed with “Higher Ground,” a collaborative masterpiece with John Martin. And we agree with Martin: It’s been a long time coming, but it wasn’t for nothing.

listen to the song here:

Garrix, who gave us the gift of “Higher Ground” for his 24th birthday, crafted what edm.com called a “euphoric peaktime bomb.” If it wasn’t for COVID-19, we would be hearing this song ring through music festivals such as EDC Las Vegas and Tomorrowland. The progressive house tune he crafted reminds us of some of his past songs like, “Forbidden Voices” and “The Only Way Is Up” with Tiesto, two songs that can be seen as the start of his global fame.

John Martin is well-known for his melodic voice, which has starred in noteworthy songs for most of the last decade. He never fails to tug on our emotions and leaves us playing these songs on repeat. This includes “Children of the Sun” by Tinie Tempah, “Action Figures” by Sam Lachow, “Reload,” by Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash and he’s the voice behind Swedish House Mafia’s “Save the World” and “Don’t You Worry Child.”

If the song alone doesn’t leave you wanting to feel alive with them, the music video will.
