LIVE NATION BRINGS FORTH DRIVE-IN SHOWS AND LIVE STREAMS
It’s the summer of 2016, the hot sun is beaming but you don’t care. You walk in through the festival gates with some of your best friends. As you continue to approach the stages, the dim melodies of “Closer” by The Chainsmokers gets louder and louder. You’re laughing uncontrollably with your friends as you bask in the beautiful festival day. Life is good.
As you reminisce on the better days, you can’t help but think about all the concerts and festivals that have been canceled and/or postponed due to COVID-19. Preventing you from having the best summer of your lives.
The world is evolving & @LiveNation will follow data & science on how best to bring back shows. We also value feedback from fans & will continue to check in along the way. Well, Live Nation is here to come to save your dreams and hope. CEO Michael Rapino emphasizes the importance of keeping the music alive, simply by hosting drive-in concerts, live streams, reduced capacity festivals. This will all be done by going through some trials of course- while the health and safety of the community remain a top priority. There are a few different plans for the future, all depending on the impact COVID-19 has on the area. If there is anything we can turn to in times of uncertainty, it’s the healing power of music. #TogetherApart
