ADVENTURE CLUB DROPS FIRST SINGLE OF THE DECADE ‘REBELLIOUS’ – [LISTEN]

Grammy-nominated duo Adventure Club has returned with ‘Rebellious’ featuring vocals by longtime collaborator Yuna. Fans may recognize her majestic voice from tracks such as ‘Gold’ and ‘Lullabies’. This new track, however, features an indie influence which brings us back to the pair’s younger years.

‘Rebellious’ marks Adventure Club’s first release of 2020. Finding its home on Ultra Music, this four-minute treasure alludes to the duo’s older classics. It features stylistic similarities to their 2011 remix of Flight Facilities’ ‘Crave You’ or ‘Wonder’. Talk about a throwback.

Yuna’s touching vocals provide a sensible approach to a powerful message—”I’m rebellious, I’m a fighter” and so on. Paired with a luminous melody and delicate piano strokes, ‘Rebellious’ truly strikes at our emotions.

Adventure Club offers their take on the new song, “There’s no better feeling than when a song just clicks. When everything just makes sense and you’re happy about every aspect of it. It’s rare that we’re satisfied with a finished product, but Rebellious defies that. We’re truly happy that we get to put this into the world and can’t wait for old and new fans to hear it. We can’t put into words how much we love working with Yuna. Everything about her voice, delivery and vibe is perfect.”

The Montréal-based DJ/producer duo is best known for their crushing basslines and dreamy soundscapes. However, this new tune seems to boast the latter. Adventure Club has really tapped into that gripping passion that creates a spark within our souls, that feeling we crave in music.

After a wildly successful 2019, there’s no doubt the pair will continue to remain a leading force in the industry. Recent collaborations with Crankdat, Krewella, QUIX and Said The Sky prove that their sound permeates many genres. ‘Rebellious’ simply serves as a delicious sneak peak into Adventure Club’s forthcoming project.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
