ALUNA FROM ALUNAGEORGE RELEASES FIRST SOLO SINGLE – [LISTEN]

Aluna, formerly a collaborator in AlunaGeorge, released her first breakout single “Body Pump” via Mad Decent. The British electronic music artist, formally known as Aluna Francis, originally gained acclaim for her output with prior music collaborator George Reid. Her subsequent solo signing with Mad Decent therefore came as no surprise to fans. Diplo, when asked for comment in a press release, celebrated Aluna’s jump to Mad Decent. “I’ve been a fan of Aluna for years – her voice, her style and her way of putting records together… Having her sign to Mad Decent feels like a family reunion – can’t wait to get these records out to everyone.”

Not only is this breakout single poignant, unique, and thoughtful,  it’s also just great music in general. This record serves as ample proof that Aluna does not need a male counterpart to create. She stands tall and singular, yet she’s bolstered atop the shoulders of Mad Decent, monolithic pillars of support and success. The sky’s the limit for her talent and growth, and just like Diplo, we look forward to all that is to come.
