NICHOLSON DELIVERS FIERCE TRANCE ANTHEM WITH NEW SINGLE ‘INFLICTED’ – [LISTEN]
Unleashing the beast once again, Carl Nicholson is back with another certified banger! A rollercoaster of a track from start-to-finish, ‘Inflicted’ marks the venerated trance DJ/producer’s fourth single of the new decade. His latest tour-de-force, out now on Paul Oakenfold’s imprint Perfecto Fluoro, is a psytrance-laden knockout that delivers in all the right areas.
Pulsating basslines and a commanding rhythm accompany a vibrantly sinister vocal that places a focal point on inflicting pain on others. Its heavy theming is paired flawlessly with the intensity of the track itself, ultimately leaving the listener in a breathless daze after the duration of its approximately six-and-a-half minute runtime.
A pioneering purveyor of underground dance music for over two decades, Nicholson’s new single follows ‘Dirty Lil B*stard’, released at the beginning of this month. The track is also a successor to his remixes of Jens’ 1993 hit ‘Loops N Tings’ and Bush Babies’ 1996 masterpiece ‘Delicious’, both released earlier in the year.
