DAFT PUNK RETURNS TO COMPOSE FILM SCORE FOR NEW FILM ‘BLACK GLASSES’

The dance music legends of Daft Punk are returning to their craft to compose the film score for upcoming film, “Occhiali Neri” (aka “Black Glasses”) for Italian film director Dario Argento. In an interview with la Repubblica Argento reveals, “They are my admirers, they know all my cinema. They heard from French friends that I was shooting a new film and called me [to say], ‘We want to work with you.’”

“It will be my return to crime films,” says Argento. “It’s the adventure, in the nocturnal Rome, of a Chinese girl and child. In the second part, the escape takes them into the rocky, bushy countryside of Lazio. [It’s] different from the sweetness of the Tuscan valleys, but for me beautiful.”

This is Daft Punk’s first film score since their work on Tron: Legacy in 2010, which was nominated for Best Score Soundtrack Album for Visual Media at the 54th Grammys.

My introduction to the scene was first influenced by trap music, but my discography has since expanded to touch a bit of everything. Some of my favorite artists are Zeds Dead, Cloonee, Nghtmre, Flume, Infekt, Sosa, Bleu Clair, Subtronics, but the list goes on forever.
