Diplo Doubles Down with Wax Motif For New Single – [Listen]

In addition to Corona Sabbath, Diplo has been staying busy. From talk show live stream appearances to his own livestreams and then, of course, the release of new music, he’s doing the most. While Corona Sabbath streams as Mad Decent, his sister label, Higher Ground, puts out bangers. The latest drop, titled “Love To The World,” features the talented Australian DJ Wax Motif, who you might remember we named an artist to watch at the end of 2019.

The track sounds a little bit like Samba Sujo, another banger delivered via label Higher Ground, in that it features tribal percussion and vivacious chanting, reminiscent of Brazil’s beloved carnival. But “Love To The World,” has a funky flare, bringing rhythm and blues, some soul spice to the beat. In the style of traditional house, it loops like ruminations but there’s no hint of grime, rather it’s all good vibes, all positivity, exactly what the world needs right now.
