Exron Music: We’re excited to hear more new music from you, what was your inspiration for this new single “used to”?

Pluko: We just wanted to write something for those vibe-y summer days. It’s actually funny because we wrote a really happy sounding song, but if you listen to the lyrics, the story is kind of sad.

Exron Music: What was the first festival you ever played? Can you tell us a little bit about the experience?

Pluko: The first festival that I played was electric forest in 2017 and my mom was my tour manager lol! What a cool festival! I can’t wait to go back!

Exron Music: What has been one of the most gratifying moments as an artist? A moment that made it all worth it.

Pluko: I think that one of the most gratifying moments as an artist is when a project comes together. Whether its an album or a mixtape, even just a single… it’s so satisfying getting that master done and feeling like, okay, there’s nothing else I can even add to this.

Exron Music: Do you play any musical instruments or have any future plans to start learning?

Pluko: I play piano and I have been learning the guitar! I know the ukulele also but that’s super casual. I really want to get good at guitar though.

Exron Music: Apart from music, do you have any interesting hobbies that keep you busy when you’re not creating?

Pluko: I love video and photo. I’ve been really into video editing and creating my own visuals. I love to use Photoshop and Illustrator. I’m kind of a nerd for anything creative and I have WAY too many hobbies, I could list them all day.

Exron Music: What’s it like being so young and experiencing success in the music industry?

Pluko: I don’t really like to think that I’m successful, really. I know that I’ve done some cool things, but I never really want to think about the act of being successful. I’m always looking for the next thing that I can do to level up. If you get in your head and think that you’re successful, you automatically don’t work as hard. My goal every day is to work harder than the day before, so I just don’t really think about that stuff and just worry about constantly doing better.

Exron Music: What type of music do you listen to when you’re not producing? Who are some of your favorite artists and musicians?

Pluko: I love listening to alternative music. I love bands like Vampire Weekend, Phoenix, and Tame Impala. I also listen to a lot of hip hop.

Exron Music: If you weren’t an artist, what would you be and why?

Pluko: I would probably be an architect. I’ve always loved (and still do love) design and architecture. I would also love to make films but I would consider that being an artist as well.

Exron Music: What are your dreams and goals for the future of pluko?

Pluko: My goal for what I’m doing is to just create an experience that nobody has felt before. I want to make music that makes people feel a whole new wave of fresh emotions. I just want to impact as many people as possible.

Exron Music: What are you doing to stay positive and productive during this time? Any words to share with electronic music fans?

Pluko: I always look on the bright side of everything. It’s important to always look for the good things during hard times. I’ve really been taking advantage of all of this free time to write even more music and finish music that’s been sitting around for a while. Stay strong, guys! Listen to lots of music and share it with your friends! Music can heal everything.

Heralding from sunny South Florida, I am a proud Florida Woman. In my free time, I surf the swamp, wrangle gators, open fan mail, and tend to my pets. In the wild, I'm most often spotted at immersive art spaces, step tappin' in a shadowed corner of the club, hater blockerz on, totally incognito as your resident EDM spice girl. Although I generally tout my spicy side, if there's one thing I'd love to impress upon the world, it would be this: it's not a waste to give love to those who do not deserve it – it's a gift. The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.

What's your reaction?
