Disco Donnie Presents Announces Supersized Halloween Experience ‘Ubbi Dubbi Gets Freaky Deaky’

The unfortunate and ongoing COVID-19 situation has caused a plethora of show and music festival cancellations worldwide. Many music festival and live event companies have postponed their productions to a later date this year, and many have even completely cancelled their events without any further information or additional resources. These cancellation and postponement measures have caused a lot of chaos for potential attendees and ticket holders, and some festivals like Ultra Music Festival and Lightning In a Bottle have refused to even provide any form of refund options.

Luckily, the Disco Donnie Presents team recently announced one of the brightest ideas we’ve seen amidst this COVID-19 spring and summer live event turmoil. Instead of completely postponing what was supposed to be their upcoming Ubbi Dubbi festival on April 18th and April 19th in Texas, they decided to merge it with their Freaky Deaky Halloween festival concept this upcoming fall. While Ubbi Dubbi is still set to take place on its own in April of 2021 (hopefully), Disco Donnie Presents is thrilled to immerse attendees in a supersized Halloween Weekend music festival experience later this year, ‘Ubbi Dubbi Gets Freaky Deaky’.

“Dear fans,

We are sad to announce that by order of the local authorities, we are unable to produce the festival on Saturday, April 18 & Sunday, April 19 at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas. We looked at multiple options to produce a safe event during the Summer, but thought it was best to concentrate on providing a supersized event in the Fall.

Due to the unpredictable and potentially long-term effect of the coronavirus pandemic, Ubbi Dubbi will be postponed until Friday, October 30 & Saturday, October 31 at the Houston Raceway Park with an all new line up. Ubbi Dubbi will also return to the Dallas/Fort Worth area in April 2021 with an artist lineup we already know you will love.

Although we are disappointed by the postponement, Ubbi and Dubbi are excited to team up with Freaky Deaky Texas to bring you a new Halloween experience, “Ubbi Dubbi Gets Freaky Deaky.”

Tickets will transfer to the October event, automatically, at point of purchase.”

Witnessing such a renowned event and music festival production team like Disco Donnie Presents turn a negative situation into a positive and productive one gives us hope that our industry will recover from this mess sooner rather than later. While its not an ideal situation for anyone involved, at least those who were hoping to attend Ubbi Dubbi this year will be able to partake in its augmented production alongside Freaky Deaky this October instead of having to wait until April of next year. Past Ubbi Dubbi attendees exposed a tremendous amount of positive feedback after the festival’s grand 2019 debut, and we’re thrilled to discover what this upcoming Halloween weekend merge with Freaky Deaky will hold this time around.

Creativity is what makes the music industry a magical one to be a part of, and decisions like these are what keeps our unique little dance music world spinning round. For the first time, we’ll now get to experience two distinct festivals in one eventful weekend. This decision comes to show just how easily we can turn a negative situation into a forward-looking one that benefits everyone involved.
