Claptone Shares House Banger “Drop the Pressure” – [Listen]

For those that watched Lee Foss’ and Claptone’s “United We Stream” last night, a response to the COVID-19 quarantine, you may have heard Claptone’s most recent release “Drop The Pressure.” Claptone, a house soul/funk artist most famous for combining jazz and electronic sounds, features a more traditional house beat for this track. When asked for elaboration on the track, Claptone was articulate. “While in the library or at a funeral, I felt my blood swirling and my spine tingling – I must dance to this! The uncontrollable sensation! I know you know that feeling too.” A feeling while listening to Claptone? We must admit that we do know.

Although he was scheduled to perform a series of shows at Pacha Ibiza in May, his second consecutive summer season in Ibiza, the world waits for updates on COVID-19. Currently however, Claptone’s summer tour is set to proceed. For those lucky vagabonds venturing to Ibiza, his shows will definitely be ones for the books!

Heralding from sunny South Florida, I am a proud Florida Woman. In my free time, I surf the swamp, wrangle gators, open fan mail, and tend to my pets. In the wild, I'm most often spotted at immersive art spaces, step tappin' in a shadowed corner of the club, hater blockerz on, totally incognito as your resident EDM spice girl. Although I generally tout my spicy side, if there's one thing I'd love to impress upon the world, it would be this: it's not a waste to give love to those who do not deserve it – it's a gift. The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.
