BIG GIGANTIC DROPS HIGHLY ANTICIPATED ALBUM + DEBUT MUSIC VIDEO – [WATCH + LISTEN]

After much anticipation, Big Gigantic has made its way back under our radar with a brand new studio album Free Your Mind. The 13-track collection features the likes of Felly, Ashe, The Funk Hunters, Louis Futon and others. Out now on Counter Records, the album delivers an unmatched energy that any dance music fan can get behind.

It’s hard to pick favorites, but after listening to Free Your Mind all the way through, a few tracks really turn heads. Initially featured on the band’s teaser Burning Love EP, “Friends” with beloved singer Ashe evokes a fresh, summery vibe. The title track “Free Your Mind” also stands out with its vibrant vocals and elegant play on the saxophone. Put out as a single prior to the release of the album, “St. Lucia” featuring Felly’s tender trap vocals is also worth noting. It’s chill beat paired with jazzy instrumentals makes for an irresistible, feel-good sound.

Along with the album, Big Gigantic is also debuting their very first official music video. Corresponding to the passionate song “Burning Love” featuring Kidepo is a delicate and sentimental visual experience. Directed by Eliza Brownlie, the video displays a series of seemingly authentic love stories—both the good and the bad. Fans can surely appreciate such an honest display of those most intimate moments of dating and relationships.

Big G’s own Dominic Lalli comments on the album, “We’re so excited to present to you, FREE YOUR MIND!! This album has been one of my favorite albums we’ve put together. There’s so many songs I love on this album and we’re so excited to finally be able to share the whole thing with you. We hope you love it as much as we do!!”

Free Your Mind marks the first album released by the duo in the past three years. Focusing on inspiring and soulful vocals, the collection works tireless to engage fans on a personal and emotional level. At the end of the day, when we listen to music we just want to feel something. From start to finish, Free Your Mind takes listeners on a beautiful journey that they’ll want to dance to just as bad as they want to sing to.

Jeremy Salken of Big Gigantic adds, “I might say this every album, but this really is my favorite we’ve done! Dom took his producing & writing game up 1,000 levels. Really love all the features we have and on top of all that the music is going to be sooooooo much fun to play live. Can’t wait to share it with the world!”

Big Gigantic also plans to set off on a massive 26-date tour. The two will offer their 3D Live Experience to cities like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and more. They’ll conclude the tour by touching down at Red Rocks Amphitheatre for their highly sought-after ROWDYTOWN show. View tour dates and purchase tickets here.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
