NICHOLSON OFFERS REFRESHING TAKE ON JENS’ ‘LOOPS & TINGS’ – [LISTEN]

London’s notable trance innovator Nicholson offers his refreshing take on Jens’ 1993 track ‘Loops & Tings’. The rework demonstrates the progression of trance music almost three decades later. Clocking in at just over 8 minutes long, ‘Loops & Tings 2020’ is a sensational compilation of sound.

Beware, embarking on this bewildering voyage will sting before it soothes. From aggressive builds to soulful melodies, this track taps into an entire catalog of emotion. ‘Loops & Tings 2020’ is able to bring you to your knees with its magnetic chord progression and vivacious beat. Nicholson’s version explores a more cryptic side of trance, highlighting his contemporary take on the original.

After spending nearly the past two decades lending his talents to the scope of electronic music, Nicholson has clearly made a name for himself. However, 2013 is when he truly dedicated his craft to trance. Since then, he’s amassed support from the likes of Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold and Paul Van Dyk among many other major powerhouses. This past year, his name appeared on the Beatport Top 10 Chart on various occasions. You might recognize his hit single ‘Melody’ or his epic album ‘Glorious’, which both received an overwhelming amount of support.

‘Loops & Tings 2020’ has already made its way into the Beatport Top 10 for the Trance subsection. Expect to hear this mystical track played out on major stages across the globe. For now, allow it to captivate you with its sheer brilliance.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
