Jason Ross Shares First Full Length Album “1,000 Faces”

Seven Lion’s label, best known for its consistent outpouring of melodic dub, has done it again with Jason Ross’ debut full length album “1,000 Faces.” The album, a culmination of trial and error, experimentation, and grit, includes highlights like “Shelter (feat. Melanie Fontana) and a track co-produced by Seven Lions himself titled “Known You Before (feat. Emilie Brandt).” The stand out track of the album though has got to be “Chains (feat. RORY).” The track’s success lies in its irony, with its frictional, yet perfect, clash of dramatics and airiness. The refrain bumps like a poppy 2000’s hit yet rides like that classic melodic dub baseheads know and love.

To celebrate the album’s release, Ross will embark upon a North American tour, visiting major cities like Toronto, San Francisco, Chicago, Portland, Atlanta, Denver, and Brooklyn. In addition to nightclubs and immersive art spaces, Ross will mainstage Insomniac’s beloved “Beyond Wonderland” in March, a festival located in southern California. Great things are on the horizon for Ross, and 1,000 Faces is undoubtedly just the beginning.

Heralding from sunny South Florida, I am a proud Florida Woman. In my free time, I surf the swamp, wrangle gators, open fan mail, and tend to my pets. In the wild, I'm most often spotted at immersive art spaces, step tappin' in a shadowed corner of the club, hater blockerz on, totally incognito as your resident EDM spice girl. Although I generally tout my spicy side, if there's one thing I'd love to impress upon the world, it would be this: it's not a waste to give love to those who do not deserve it – it's a gift. The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.
