“This track happened like a magic call,” HOSH explains. “When 1979 sent me an instrumental it made a click and in my head I heard the hanging tree vocal on top of it. It turned out it was a perfect match, so I took it from there, made my adjustments and re-recorded the vocal with the talented Jalja.”

‘Midnight (The Hanging Tree)’ had been exclusively released on Beatport back in December through HOSH’s fryhide label. It reached the number one spot in Melodic House and Techno Tracks playlist. However, it currently holds the number two spot in the overall Beatport Chart. It successfully landed a spot as Pete Tong’s Essential New Tune, making it the first of the decade.

Throughout HOSH’s career he has received support from esteemed producers such as Solomon, Tale Of Us, Dubfire, CamelPhat, Solardo, Auntie Flo, and Yotto among others. I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
