Confession Label Releases Alchemy VI – Listen Here

Confession, record label captained by Parisian DJ Tchami, recently released their ten-track album titled Alchemy VI. The album features a total of 14 up-and-coming artists such as Jesse Marco, Dances With White Girls, DLMT, and company. Although each track, hand-picked by Tchami himself, is a stand-alone house slap, the strength of the album comes from the work’s trajectory as a whole – the tracks transition, as though a live set, fostering individuality through continuity.

The first track on the album, titled “The Streets”, sets the tone for the rest of the work. The track takes its listener for ride through a never-ending loop of dissonant energy. The words “imma take you to the streets” echo as the percussion circles. When baseline inevitably drops, a precipitous, rebellious edge captivates the track. In simple terms: it’s provocative – it really gets the people going, or rather, it takes them to the streets.
