Sacha Robotti Performs ‘Open to Close’ In Miami Beach

Over the mainland and across the Bay, tucked away in a hidden nook of North Miami Beach, is Treehouse, an immersive art space and techno hub. On Saturday night, December 14th, Sacha Robotti played an open to close set before heading to Houston for the last show of his tour. Sacha is the director of the international record label “Sloth Acid,” where he’s produced house hits like Dirtybird, Octopus Records, Desert Hearts, This Ain’t Bristol, and more.

The set started at 11:00PM and ended at 5:00AM, a trademark of Sacha’s “Open to Close Tour.” In the spirit of never ending house, the beat never faltered as Sacha worked his wizardry over four turn tables, all operating of their own accord but in total synchronicity. Sacha rocked a sloth t-shirt and kept his cool while dishing techno vibes that were equal parts hypnotizing and equal parts quirky. Treehouse, a space that was quite literally a jungle treehouse – wooden boards covered the walls and vines dripped from the ceiling – reverberated through the night and into the morning as the house heads of Miami Beach got their fix.

Heralding from sunny South Florida, I am a proud Florida Woman. In my free time, I surf the swamp, wrangle gators, open fan mail, and tend to my pets. In the wild, I'm most often spotted at immersive art spaces, step tappin' in a shadowed corner of the club, hater blockerz on, totally incognito as your resident EDM spice girl. Although I generally tout my spicy side, if there's one thing I'd love to impress upon the world, it would be this: it's not a waste to give love to those who do not deserve it – it's a gift. The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.
