DIRT MONKEY & TECH N9NE DROP HOT NEW TRACK – LISTEN HERE

Bass icon Dirt Monkey and legendary rapper Tech N9ne have joined forces to bring two of the most sought-after worlds of music together. ‘Shut Up’ is a fierce collaborative effort that fuses elements of electronic music with hip-hop to give fans something to talk about.

Leading in with Tech N9ne’s fast paced bars, a hypnotic buzz slowly begins to expose itself. As the first drop takes shape, Dirt Monkey’s signature wobbly rhythm comes to life. ‘Shut Up’ morphs into a groovy tune that is guaranteed to get bodies moving on the dance floor.

This massive collaboration demonstrates how with talent and skill, two distant genres can flow together naturally as one. Although it’s surely not the first time rap and dubstep have been brought into the same picture, it’s one of the most striking efforts we’ve come across recently.

Since Dirt Monkey released his first full-length album back in 2012, he’s become a well-respected name in the electronic industry. Fans love getting down to his fun, wonky style whether it be at a show or simply at home. In 2018, he released Rise of the Octopeel via SubCarbon records.

As he takes on the new year, Dirt Monkey plans to embark on his headlining Primatology World Tour. He will be bringing close friends and gifted collaborators along with him. Not to mention, the launch of his new record label, 19K aims to represent a cultural movement above all else.

Tech N9ne has made history by redefining the realm in which rap music exists. The artist once pledged, “Tech will never go mainstream. Mainstream will go Tech.” With his motormouth wordplay, he has broken boundaries and set the tone for the future of the rap genre.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
