Blink-182’s Travis Barker Remixes Illenium’s ‘Good Things Fall Apart’

One of Illenium’s most beloved songs, “Good Things Fall Apart” has fallen into the hands of Blink-182’s Travis Barker. Considered to be one of the greatest drummers of all time, Barker puts a passionate twist to an already emotionally charged track. Plus, with Jon Bellion on the vocals, it doesn’t get much better than this.

Although Barker is best known for his work with rock band Blink-182, he’s gone on to make a name for himself individually. The artist’s talents know no limits, as he’s lent his creative side to many genres including hip-hop, alternative rock, pop, and country. After hearing his remix of “Good Things Fall Apart” we want him to stick around the EDM genre more.

Travis Barker transforms the track into an angsty rock anthem. His live drumming adds an overwhelming sense of energy that breathes life into the track. The rework sounds so natural, it feels like Illenium’s original song had already been headed in that direction.

As Illenium continues to sell out shows across America on his ASCEND tour, he’s keeping fans satisfied at home as well. His next stop will be at Los Angeles’ STAPLES Center on December 7th.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
