Dive Into The Martinez Brothers’ Fresh & Groovy Track ‘Let It Go’

Your favorite NYC brothers are at it again, this time with one of their grooviest tracks to date, ‘Let It Go’. Out now on their own Cuttin’ Headz label, The Martinez Brothers have teamed up with fellow NYC house legend Louie Vega and San Francisco-born singer/songwriter Marc E. Bassy to create this eccentric masterpiece. ‘Let It Go’ is an ode to the brothers’ musical roots, showcasing a melody reflecting that old New York exclusive house sound that started it all for them back in the day.

The track incorporates a sensational house-heavy beat all throughout and is harmoniously in tune with Marc’s mesmerizing vocals and catchy lyrics. It’s the type of track that you can play on repeat and not get tired of due to its  highly infectious rhythm. The more that you listen to it, that unique New York Martinez Brothers touch becomes more apparent each and every time. Even the record’s artwork was personally designed by NYC graffiti artist Lee Quiñones, adding to its exotic flare. A track meant ideally for the dance floor, this one is certain to have everyone movin’ and groovin’ at an all-time high.

“We had been trying to get our schedules together so we can work and it finally came to fruition. Once we were in the studio we just gelled and complemented each other. Last winter in New York City during the holiday season we came up with some hot tracks, one was the music to ‘Let It Go”. The Martinez Brothers were then in Los Angeles doing some recording sessions and they met up with Marc E. Bassy. Once they gave Marc the mic in the studio he just came with this super hot song on our track. I received the vocal stems, then myself and TMB got together and did some arranging on the vocals and this masterpiece was born!” – Louie Vega

The Martinez Brothers have been hoping to collaborate with Louie Vega again for some time now, and now that they’ve made it happen, the two talents joining forces is everything the dance music world needed. The one half of the Masters At Work project has been a huge influence to them before they even embarked on their music career journey, and its incredible being able to see them collaborate so smoothly years later. If you haven’t yet, check out two of New York’s leading house stars showcase their exquisite levels of talent in their stylish new tune, ‘Let It Go’.
