DIRTYBIRD MAINSTAY ARDALAN DROPS DEBUT ALBUM ‘MR. GOOD’

Ardalan is a rising tech-house artist who just released his debut album, ‘Mr. Good’ on Dirtybird Records. ‘Mr. Good’ tells a personal tale, showing an emotional look into the heart and mind of the young artist. The story unfolds across eleven tracks of a journey in search for creative freedom. Check it out below!

Ardalan is no stranger to the Dirtybird family. As a young teenage raver living in San Francisco, he began his relationship with the brand at their very first BBQ event back in 2007. By 2010, his career took off with his Justin Martin collaboration ‘Mr. Spock’, and in the following two years Ardalan found himself living with his production partner.

Ardalan draws from his Iranian roots for inspiration. His musical career was first bred from his saxophonist father and vocalist mother. Ardalan’s sound is crafted by fusing melodic dance music while writing with the minor key and melancholic melodies that originate from his home country.

Pushing his sound into the future, Ardalan looks to the past. ‘Mr. Good’ uses iconic instruments like Yamaha SP1200 and a Deckard’s Dream in ‘Lift Up’, ‘Happy Place’, and ‘Zombie Village’—adding a classic feel to an otherwise futuristic project.

“‘Mr. Good’ is about a story of self-acceptance, explains Ardalan, “In some cases, we strive to be the perfect person. Yet, we never learn to be ourselves. We and society are forced to wear a mask to hide our true traits and flaws, which are the very reasons that push us to be a better person in this world.”

Ultimately, Ardalan has created something bold, different, and entirely his own with ‘Mr. Good’. Meshing genres of house, techno, and beyond in an ode to his personal journey with loving support from the label that raised him.

An Atlanta gal chasing her love for electronic dance music. I’ve been with Exron since 2018 and have the privilege of contributing to the culture alongside other badass women whom I now call my friends. My introduction to the scene was first influenced by trap music, but my discography has since expanded to touch a bit of everything. Some of my favorite artists are Zeds Dead, Cloonee, Nghtmre, Flume, Infekt, Sosa, Bleu Clair, Subtronics, but the list goes on forever.
