DATSIK BREAKS THE SILENCE AFTER 18 MONTH HIATUS
In March 2018, Datsik became one of the most disgraced members of the electronic music community amongst sexual assault allegations. Multiple women came forward to describe incidents involving the bass music producer. It’s been a year and a half since these allegations came to light and Datsik’s management company & agency dropped him. Following the allegations, Datsik completely dropped off the radar until posting a seven minute “apology” video today on Facebook. Click HERE to watch the full video statement from Datsik.
Throughout the video Troy Beetles aka Datsik describes his downfall and the self reflection period that followed. To much dismay from the electronic music community, not once did he mention nor apologize to his victims. Many members of the music community, both fans and artists alike have expressed their distaste for this insincere public announcement.

just watching datsik’s non-apology, in which he spares not a single word to address his victims or acknowledge anyone but himself.

Datsik can fuck right off honestly
What he did wasn’t a “mistake”, it was a long-term pattern of behavior whereby he identified victims, developed strategies with his cohorts to groom and isolate them, and created ways to avoid being caught and held responsible
fuck

Anyone else see Datsik press release? blames it on depression and anxiety but doesn’t even address what really happened. This is not what dance music is about.

He mentions making efforts to change and grow as a person as he hopes for a new chapter in his career, yet fails to adequately address the events that took place. This leaves us asking ourselves one question: is this the type of artist we want representing the electronic music community?
