ANJUNABEATS POWERHOUSES TEAM UP FOR ‘CAN YOU’

Two of Anjunabeat’s most eager forces, ilan Bluestone and Maor Levi have once again merged talents to create a soulful tune. This time they’ve acquired the vocal talents of Gid Sedgwick to shape “Can You”. The artists utilize a variety of techniques with one goal in mind: to bring us to our knees.

Yes, “Can You” is one of those songs that you feel deep within your being. It’s no surprise that Above & Beyond and ilan Bluestone have been rinsing it across the globe all summer. You might’ve heard it at EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland or Creamfields UK if you were able to make it out to one of those. Not to mention, Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy 350 in Prague this past weekend was another spot it was surely played out.

“Can You” is the latest in a string of collaborations going all the way back to “On Our Own” in 2013. It starts out by pulsating a heavy beat that grows into a soft, reflective melody where Sedgwick’s angelic voice is finally heard. The track finally bursts into a progression of uplifting synths. When each layer of the song comes together, you’ll feel like you’ve entered the gates of heaven. We’d never expect anything less from our friends over at Anjunabeats. It’s music for the soul.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!

What's your reaction?
