THE GLITCH MOB + LICK DROP ELECTRIFYING TRACK ‘SYSTEM BLEED’

Out now via Glass Air Records, ‘System Bleed’ is a dynamic collaboration between The Glitch Mob and Deadbeats mainstay LICK. The single arises in the midst of the trio’s ‘The Alchemy Tour’ with NGHTMRE, SLANDER and Seven Lions.

The Glitch Mob has kept a relatively low profile this year. In 2018, the group released their third studio album See Without Eyes and embarked on a worldwide headlining tour. ‘System Bleed’ symbolizes their first release since ‘RISE’, the famous collaboration with Mako and The World Alive that became the soundtrack of League Of Legends’ yearly World Championship. In just a short period of time, the gaming anthem became one of their most successful tracks to date.

The Glitch Mob says, “We are so fired up to finally release this track with Lick. He’s an incredible young artist and we’ve been playing versions of this in our sets all year. This will be first in a series of collaborations with producers that we admire and creatively vibe with.”

Now, ‘System Bleed’ is becoming The Glitch Mob’s most beloved collaborative project. With the talents of bass producer LICK thrown into the mix, these artists have created a lethal weapon. The track opens up by building a dark, ominous tension before dropping into warped basslines. We owe our thanks to LICK for adding somewhat of a sinister backdrop to ‘System Bleed’. His signature midtempo sound is paired with heavenly chords to really make the song resonate with listeners long after its over.

Lick talks about how the track developed, “When I heard The Glitch Mob were playing my songs out I reached out to them. Soon enough we put an idea for a song together. They brought me out at EDC to debut it and the rest is history. The Glitch Mob are absolute legends and it’s been an honor working with them.”

The Glitch Mob plans to release a string of collaborative singles with emerging talent before the year comes to an end. With ‘System Bleed’ being the first, it’s definitely going to set the standards high. Take a listen to the hot new track below!

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
