EXRON EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: 4B

DJ 4B, also known as Robert McKeon Jr., has consistently made waves in the electronic music industry for the past twelve years, despite his ripe young age of 26. Since dropping his trademark single ‘Pop Dat’ in 2015, he has seen a steady line of successes, including garnering support from mega-stars Tiesto, Skrillex and DJ Snake. Most recently, 4B has announced his upcoming “Explosive” EP with the release of a brand new single entitled “Told You” via Ultra Records. We recently got the chance to catch up with 4B regarding his life and musical aspirations during Electric Zoo. Check out our Exclusive Interview below!

Exron Music: What’s it like being local from New Jersey and getting to play at Electric Zoo NY for multiple years now? Do you feel a little bit of “home court advantage”?

4B: It’s always fun to have a party in your backyard!

Exron Music: What was the most rewarding thing about your recent “Blackout Tour” with Flosstradamus? What’s the dynamic like when you collaborate together?

4B: I’ve learned so much from Floss over the years. He gives the best advice and it just a great dude to be around on the road.

Exron Music: Was there ever a specific turning point in your career that you feel was crucial to your success as an artist?

4B: I think my first year of touring. Making no money, but getting a chance to see the world and make up my mind that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.

Exron Music: What has been your favorite tour stop or festival performance in 2019? What made this performance so special to you?

4B: Favorite stop on the Blackout Tour I think had to be Orlando. That party was absolutely insane. I think Hard Summer takes the cake as far as festivals go!

Exron Music: You have seen significant success over the past 8 years. Do you have any advice to up and coming artists that seek to have longevity in the music industry?

4B: Work harder than everyone around you & don’t eat with people who brag about feeding you.
