FERRY CORSTEN AND BT TEAM UP FOR ‘1997’
Ferry Corsten hasn’t released on UNITY since this past December. Now, he’s teamed up with BT to release a brand new track, ‘1997’. The magic returns as the UNITY project is back in full force.
Ferry Corsten has been busy releasing solo music for the first half of 2019, with offerings such as the uber-catchy ‘Freefall’ with NEVVE. Not to mention, Ferry returned to his Gouryella alias for the first single in two years with the much-lauded ‘Surga’. Although he’s been busy, he’s finally been able to focus his attention back to UNITY.
‘1997’ is a soulful melody that makes time dissolve until there’s nothing left of it. We can appreciate how the track’s traditional trance sound is carefully complimented by sweet piano chords. The main build is driven by a euphoric string of sound, bursting into an energetic drop. Both Corsten and BT offer a unique spin on sound, bringing us an otherworldly production.
These two dance music legends have graced the decks together across the world, making this collaboration a fitting way to continue the journey of UNITY. Since Corsten remixed BT’s ‘Suddenly’ in 2010, this pair was destined to combine strengths in order to create a superpower.
