ELOHIM’S NEW EP ‘BRAINDEAD’ SUPPORTS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH

Elohim’s new EP ‘Braindead’ has been released in support of mental health awareness, something she’s always been an advocate for through her work. May is Mental Health Awareness month, making it the perfect time for this project to come to life. The singer vows to donate 100% of this month’s proceeds from the EP to charities that are in support of those suffering from mental health issues.

The EP features seven flawless tracks, including the title track, “Braindead”. Each song has unique elements that focus on the theme of mental health. Soft melodies are united with Elohim’s angelic voice to create this powerful work of art. As a gift to fans, Elohim has also released a series of breathwork videos coinciding with each track as a form of guided meditation. She also plans to shortly release a docu-series about the EP on her YouTube channel.

Giving some of her own insight on the EP, Elohim notes, “Braindead is a look into the beautifully broken minds of humans that face the challenges and struggles of mental health issues. We all see the world differently. Braindead is a musical tapestry that I made for people to listen to and hopefully explore their hearts, mind, and the world they live in with less fear, more clarity, and less self judgement.”

Since the debut of her self-titled album in April 2018, Elohim has captivated fans around the world. She’s taken on multiple headline tours, as well as direct support tours for Alison Wonderland and The Glitch Mob. She’s even graced the stages of major festivals such as Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza to name a few.

Catching this EP live will be worthwhile. Elohim will appear on a North American tour with blackbear beginning this month. Subsequently, she will be making multiple festival stops this summer. See dates and buy tickets here.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
