ILLENIUM & JON BELLION KICK OFF SUMMER WITH “GOOD THINGS FALL APART”

Powerhouses Illenium and Jon Bellion join forces for the first time ever to collaborate on “Good Things Fall Apart” via Astralwerks. This marks another huge step in Illenium’s recent series of bold collaborations. Accompanied by an ominous lyric video, this new track pushes impossible boundaries for both artists.

With a nostalgic sound, “Good Things Fall Apart” propels us into what feels like the nineties- when teen angst ran fierce and rampant.  A delicate acoustic guitar is paired with Bellion’s energetic voice to command a tight emotional grip. Finally, the catchy and confessional chorus describes the familiar inevitability of a broken heart. It reminds us that we’re all human, living the same beautiful yet painful experience.

Although the message is in typical Illenium fashion, the delivery is quite unique and captivating. We’ve never heard anything like this from the sensational artist – an upbeat and energetic pop-punk tune. “Good Things Fall Apart” has definitely earned itself the spot as the anthem of the summer. Check out the lyric video here.

Illenium released two smash hits, “Crashing” featuring Bahari and “Pray” featuring Kameron Alexander not too long ago. The latter even fostered an enthralling and versatile remix package. Together with Bellion, these are two unstoppable forces we didn’t know we needed to merge until now.

He’s a stellar producer, but Illenium is also a rockstar on stage. He’ll perform a DJ set at EDC Las Vegas on Sunday, May 19, followed by a touch down at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in June. The young artist will continue his Las Vegas residency at Hakkasan, and headline both Madison Square Garden and Red Rocks Amphitheater in the fall. Dates are selling out rapidly. Remaining tickets are available here.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
