SLANDER AND DYLAN MATTHEW DROP EMOTIONALLY JARRING HIT ‘LOVE IS GONE’

LA-based duo Slander has teased their track with Dylan Matthew “Love is Gone” in live sets everywhere, keeping fans on edge waiting for it’s release. The time has finally come. This sought after song has finally been released on Nghtmre and Slander’s beloved Gud Vibrations label. This will be the fourth time Matthew has lent his angelic vocals to a create a Slander smash hit.

The group teamed up for the first time in 2017 on “Without You” and twice in 2018 on “Hate Being Alone” and “First Time” with Seven Lions & Dabin. However, “Love is Gone” is Matthew’s first time releasing on Gud Vibrations, and we sure hope it won’t be his last. The singer’s raw voice pairs so well with Slander’s euphonious synths. This brand new track is the premier representation of that harmony.

Matthew’s voice draws listeners in with the painful but true reality of heartbreak. But somehow, we get lost in the beauty of the melody rather than the sorrow of the message. The track builds intense momentum until it finally shatters into a euphoric drop. The duo manages to sneak in a bit of heat amidst the emotion – truly in a typical Slander fashion.

In addition to this stellar new release, Slander dropped their first ever music video. The video companion to “Love Again” is thrilling and beautiful, making it the ideal debut video for the Gud Vibrations label. We can’t help but imagine what the duo has in store for fans and festival-goers this summer.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
