DNMO UNVEILS ‘DEFINITION FORBIDDEN’ EP ON DEADBEATS

DNMO is coming in hot with his inspiring new EP, ‘Definition Forbidden’ out now on Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats. If you haven’t already heard, DNMO is a young producer/DJ that you’ll want to keep on your radar this festival season. At just 17 years old, he made his U.S. debut in 2018 at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater, making him the youngest electronic artist to perform at the venue. He’s made appearances across the US, most notably during his time touring with both Ghastly and Ookay.

‘Definition Forbidden’ features four unique tracks, all full of emotion with just the right touch of heat. What makes this album stand out is the clear personal touch on it. The lyrics are both deep and honest, indicative of the artist’s own struggles. ‘Definition Forbidden’ reminds us that life is both amazing and beautiful – that no human is exempt from experiencing both sides.

DNMO offers listeners some backstory to his music. ” ‘Sick Of You’ was written about a girl in your life that you cherish more than anyone else. It’s about old habits, ritual attraction and at times, pity, obscured the fact that this girl was a toxic ailment towards everyday life. We have been working with each other for the past year or so but only online. This time around we spent a week writing music in the studio together, which really helped us reach a whole new level of songwriting. Thought that experience we were able to capture the high energy vibe we were feeling at the time.”

The young artist strives to balance his soulful melodies with an electronic taste. However, his greatest interests lie within the realms of rock music and hip-hop. With this information, it’s no shock that DNMO relies heavily on live instruments as a tool of expression. His focus on raw sound and emotion gripped our hearts while examining the new EP.
