ATLIENS + BLANKE RELEASE STELLAR SINGLE “CONTACT”

The masked duo ATLiens has joined forces with Australian DJ/producer Blanke to create a weapon of mass destruction, “Contact”. Out now on downright, this release accompanies ATLiens’ North American tour, “Space Cult” following the group’s international leg. Meanwhile, Blanke has been working on some of his own notable remixes and collaborations. “Contact” is a merciless dubstep track that synthesizes two unique yet similarly dark, twisted sounds.

“Contact” exhibits fierce basslines and sharp synths in a classic midtempo fashion. The artists toy with the most ill-lit dimensions of sound to create this sinister heater. And with both artists certainly on the rise in the electronic music world, this track is the perfect platform to demonstrate those talents and the power of their fusion.

ATLiens released three other tracks, “IMMA”, “Exile” and “Interstellar” which have become widely popular. The duo has successfully created a buzz around their name in the bass music community. Collabs such as “Watch Out” featuring the Ragga Twins and “Malfunction” with TYNAN have grabbed the attention of dubstep enthusiasts as well. Popular past label releases include OWSLA, Buygore, and Sony.

Blanke might be an unfamiliar name to some, but this won’t be true for long. This rapidly growing artist has been appearing on festival lineups and dropping tracks left and right. His releases include remixes for Marshmello, RL Grime, PNAU, Peking Duk, a collaboration with Rezz (“Mixed Signals”) and an EP on Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats. Not to mention, his remixed version of Pnau “Changa” has been included in Billboard’s “10 Best Dance/Electronic Remixes of 2018” feature. Blanke is definitely a name to keep your eye on as the year progresses.

If your heart finds a home in the astronomical depths of the galaxy, “Contact” will probably speak to you on a whole new level.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
