Above & Beyond Release ‘Common Ground Companion EP’ on Anjunabeats

Above & Beyond’s fourth studio album, the ‘Common Ground Companion EP’ serves as a counterpart to the group’s #3 US Billboard charting album ‘Common Ground’. The EP will be available on a limited run of 500 vinyl to celebrate the 500th catalogue release on Anjunabeats. Yet again, Above & Beyond has provided fans with an epic voyage through sound with this latest release.

The EP features three tracks (and club arrangements) of songs that informed the Common Ground journey – ‘Flying By Candlelight (feat. Marty Longstaff),’ ‘Distorted Truth’ and ‘There’s Only You (feat. Zoë Johnston). On the other hand, the vinyl includes the extended club mixes of ‘Flying By Candlelight’, There’s Only You’ and ‘Distorted Truth’, plus the original mix of ‘Flying By Candlelight’.

We’ve never doubted Above & Beyond’s influential grasp on trance music. This new EP is just another solidification. Each track on the ‘Common Ground Companion EP’ utilizes a slow and subtle build to deliver the listener to the ultimate state of transcendence. Hushed vocals give some of the tracks that familiar sense of tranquility. The perfect melodies do in fact exist, you’ll find them right here in the depths of this EP.
