EDC LAS VEGAS IS PEEKING OVER THE HORIZON
With May right around the corner, EDC is only getting closer and closer for festival goers. Each summer, Insomniac takes over Sin City to throw the ultimate party at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. EDC will take place from May 17-19 this year. With ticket sales skyrocketing since the release of the massive 2019 lineup, the festival is on track to sell out quick.
Along with the announcement of the lineup, EDC promises to deliver us everything from trance to techno to bass music – and just about everything in between. The variety and quality of artists are what keep people returning to Vegas every year in late May. The 2019 roster includes A$AP Rocky, Adventure Club, Alison Wonderland, Claude Vonstroke, Deadmau5, Eric Prydz, Excision, Fisher, Illenium, Kaskade, Kayzo, Rezz, RL Grime, Zeds Dead, Zhu, and tons of more big names. Some back to backs that promise to be epic: Delta Heavy b2b Dirtyphonics, Phiso b2b Definitive, Skream b2b Rusko (Old Skool Dubstep Set), Solardo b2b Idris Elba and Zeke Beats b2b Champagne Drip. Plus, the opening ceremony will be hosted by our beloved Bill Nye (yes – the science guy). Check out the full lineup here.
In order to beat the heat, EDC conveniently holds their party under the moonlight. Although, you can hardly tell it’s nighttime will the extravaganza of neon lights decorating the Speedway. This past year, the festival has also added the option to camp onsite. Attendees appreciate the camping because it alleviates difficulty traveling to and from the venue every day.
To make it even easier, (especially for those who are traveling by plane) the camping comes fully equipped with their uniquely designed “ShiftPod2”. These tent-like structures are pre-setup air conditioned shelter systems, constructed with weather-resistant fabric. For those arriving by RV, there’s an option to purchase RV camping as well. And as always, those who prefer to stay offsite have plenty of options as well.
EDC continuously blows attendees out of the water each year with their groundbreaking production. Three nights dancing into the Nevada sunset feels more like a magical wonderland than a desert. Once nighttime takes hold, the race track lights up and the sound of the beat takes control. With eight full size stages, music enthusiasts will find that there’s not much wondering what to do next. Attendees will spend time at cosmicMEADOW, circuitGROUNDS, neonGARDEN, bassPOD, wasteLAND, quantumVALLEY, and stereoBLOOM. Plus, Art Cars can be found roaming the Speedway bumping your favorite electronic music tunes all weekend.
