GARETH EMERY’S LASERFACE STUNS MIAMI MUSIC WEEK 2019

This past Friday, British DJ/producer Gareth Emery brought his exhilarating Laserface show to Miami Music Week. With the full laser rig set up and an all-star lineup, we were blown away by this mesmerizing performance. An enormous crowd filled the venue at Mana Wynwood to embark on what would be the journey of a lifetime.

Notable openers Gabriel & Dresden and Tritonal set the stage for Emery’s legendary production. Tritonal brought high levels of energy to the venue that had the crowd dancing on their feet the entire time. It was hard to stand still as the duo dropped classic tunes and one-of-a-kind mashups. However, no one was prepared for what would come next.

Laserface combined the immersive musical trance experience with a visual output at astronomical levels of precision. Each beam of laser was synonymously accompanied by a graceful but often fierce melody. Emery steered the crowd through a unique two-hour voyage of sound. Meanwhile, with lasers developed by globally renowned laser designer Anthony Garcia, the union between the eyes and ears was completely in sync.

Emery fused old school trance with more modern releases to create the party of the year. Both seasoned and rookie trance enthusiasts found themselves at home during his set. He sprinkled many of his own tracks throughout the set as well, pouring out his true passion for dance music. Every ounce of Emery’s soul could be felt with each transition, something that is rare to find these days. Laserface is a gem that should be cherished and shared with all lovers of electronic music.

Tensions were high as the progression of each buildup transformed into a spiritual peak. The crowd became completely hypnotized as the lasers captured their minds. Just about every color along the spectrum became visible as the show progressed. In the most intense moments, the room became flooded with just a single hue to dramatize the corresponding song. Emery and his team have truly done something incredible with Laserface, and Miami was lucky enough to be a witness.

Laserface will hit Seattle next, followed by shows in New York and Ibiza. Tickets may be purchased online here. Anyone in search of a genuine trance experience should put Laserface at the top of their list. It’s called “the world’s greatest laser show” for a reason – you really can’t find anything like it elsewhere. We were absolutely stunned by the end of the show. Emery is an inspiration within the scope of electronic music. We’re stoked to see the Laserface project continue to takeoff.
