Hotel Garuda Gives Brooklyn One Reason To Dance
This past weekend Hotel Garuda kicked off the One Reason Tour in Washington DC and Brooklyn. The US tour will be the first Hotel Garuda tour that Aseem will take as a solo journey. Last year Aseem and Chris announced that they will be focusing on their solo projects, Hotel Garuda and Manila Killa, respectively. The support and admiration that Manila Killa still has for Hotel Garuda is very evident still. He came out to the Brooklyn show to support and even jumped on stage for a bit.
Recently we got the chance to catch up with Hotel Garuda to get some insight into the new chapter of Hotel Garuda. In the interview he expressed that in the past they were playing music for audiences that didn’t always sound like what they were producing. “Moving forward I think it’ll be easier to establish a sonic universe that Hotel Garuda can occupy, both in terms of live performances as well as studio output” -HG.
Hotel Garuda really set a vibe at Elsewhere in Brooklyn. Most of the tracks he was playing provided a deep house energy for the crowd. Some of the notable tracks for the evening included the recent release ‘One Reason’. Everyone was grooving when he played the Hotel Garuda remix of Kaskade’s ‘Fakin’ It’ also.
