Getter Announces 2019 Tour and New Music Video for “On My Way Out” ft. Joji
Last year, Getter released his highly anticipated studio album “Visceral” on Mau5trap, showcasing a new direction of sound and intention- one that stems from intense experiences of heartbreak, rejection, toxic relationships, and more. The deeply artistic album hosts singles including “All is Lost,” “Made for You,” and “Solo,” as well a collaborations with with Audio Opera, Allan Kingdom, Nothing, Nowhere, Sweetsound, Midoca, Name UL, Njomza, Party Nails and Joji. This year, Getter will bring his music to life with the start of the “Visceral Live Tour” kicking off on February 27. Get your tickets on sale now.
In addition to his tour, Getter released a beautiful music video for his last track on the album, “On My Way Out” featuring Joji. The video is directed by AudioOpera aka Graeme Barrett, a Toronto based director/musician whose work includes videos for The Smashing Pumpkins and Lil Peep. His unique style blurs the line between fantasy and reality, ultimately leaving viewers with an unsettled feeling that is translated through his interoperation of the “On My Way Out” video.
Conceptually, the song holds two meanings according to Getter: 1. “On my way out of this shit, like you’re finally starting to see colors again,” and 2. “On my way out of this world, meaning you have accepted defeat and want to give up.”
